В английском языке ему соответствуют три группы эквивалентов, которые различаются тем, что одни употребляются только с исчисляемыми существительными, другие только с неисчисляемыми существительными, а третьи, как и русское много с любым типом существительных.1. many — много ( относится только к исчисляемым существительным): many friends (books, towns) — много друзей (книг, городов)2. much — много ( относится только к неисчиспяемым существительным): much time — много времени; much information — много сведений/ много информации; much work — много работы; much patience — много терпения3. a lot — много (относится как к исчисляемым, так и к неисчисляемым существительным, но употребляется только в утвердительных предложениях): a lot of time — много времени; a lot of books — много книг Have you got many friends? — Oh, yes, a lot. — У вас много друзей?
